This time, first and last place were the same team!
They thought the experimental, abstract, three-layer design was pretty hip.
But it was too clever for the judges, who had never seen a snowman.
So they rallied and asked to try a second design.
This one was based around some "realist" ideas they had been working on.
They borrowed a bigger set of eyes, since humans find them cuter -- a true artisan's touch.
Their hopes were low, figuring the portait too cheesecake,
too obviously mawkish. But the judges went nuts over it.
That's always how it is, huh...
